After following Commander Burnham into the wormhole in the second season finale, Season 3 of “Star Trek: Discovery” finds the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery landing in an unknown future far from the home they once knew. Now living in a time filled with uncertainty, the U.S.S. Discovery crew, along with the help of some new friends, must work together to restore hope to the Federation.

Star Trek: Discovery Season 5 Photos LEAK..

Welcome back to Recap Royalty. New set photos from Star Trek: Discovery season 5 confirm that filming has wrapped, just over a year after season 4 began airing. The sci-fi series debuted in 2017, 8 years after the fan-favourite Star Trek reboot movie from J.J. Abrams premiered and revitalised the franchise. Developed by Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman, Star Trek: Discovery begins by telling the story of Commander Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green), who must lead the crew on the USS Discovery after being reassigned for sparking a war between the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire.

The fifth season was commissioned by Paramount in January 2022, with filming beginning on 13 June. Only 10 episodes were commissioned, following the trend of Discovery’s seasons growing shorter (season 1 had 15 episodes, season 2 had 14 episodes, and seasons 3 and 4 had 13 episodes each).
